Privacy Policy
Summary
MarginPal runs almost entirely inside your browser. We do not operate user accounts, we do not have a product database of your data, and we do not use analytics or tracking. Your calculation inputs and product list are stored on your own device (and, if you enable browser sync, inside your Google account's browser-sync storage) — they are never sent to us.
Data stored on your device only
- Calculation inputs (purchase cost, shipping, notes) and your product list are saved in your browser's local/sync storage on your machine.
- If you sign into Chrome with sync enabled, sync storage replicates through Google's browser-sync infrastructure under your Google account. We never see it.
- Daily usage counters (free-tier quota) are stored locally in obfuscated form.
- You can export this data yourself (CSV / JSON backup) or delete it at any time by clearing the list in the extension or removing the extension.
Data read from the current web page
On Amazon product and search pages, the extension reads information that is already visible on that page (price, title, category, rank) from the page you are viewing, in your browser. This data is not transmitted to us or to any server we control.

No cookies, no fingerprinting, no advertising identifiers, no analytics beacons.
Payments
Pro subscriptions are processed by Creem (creem.io) as Merchant of Record. Billing details (card numbers, receipts) are handled by Creem and its payment providers under their privacy policy; we never receive or store your payment card data. We receive your license key and transaction status.
Your rights
Because we hold virtually no personal data, most rights (access, deletion) can be exercised by you directly: remove the extension or clear its data. For anything handled by us (license key records), email support@marginpal.app and we will respond within 3 business days. If you are in the EEA/UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
Children
MarginPal is a business tool and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
We will update this policy at this URL and update the effective date above. Material changes will be announced in the extension's release notes.
